Hi I also upgraded from Mandriva Spring 2008 distro and loved the file manager in Konqueror.
I have have now installed Mandriva 2010 x85 64 bit.  The installation was a dream on my spare pc.
The display works in high resolution.  The operating system installed in half an hour.
Without any need to load drivers.
Flash 10 loaded ok from adobe.  After searching for a download of chrome for Linux. I installed google chrome in minutes.

I am very disappointed that the new konqueror kde ver 4.3.2 has the file manager removed.
The web browser is useless "why bother using this when you can use very good browsers like chrome or firefox".
Kde say that they have removed this because the file manage DOLPHIN is more powerfull.   Not so it so clunky and old fashioned.

Do you know how to install konqueror 3.5 on mandriva 2010 ????????????????

Try crusader as a super user file manager it is so easy to use
 With advanced KDE twin-panel file-manager.
On your Mandriva Control Center search for Krusader

Krusader is an advanced twin panel (commander style) file manager for KDE and other desktops in the *nix world, similar to Midnight or Total Commander. It provides all the file management features you could possibly want.

Plus: extensive archive handling, mounted filesystem support, FTP, advanced search module, an internal viewer/editor, directory synchronisation, file content comparisons, powerful batch renaming and much much more. It supports a wide variety of archive formats and can handle other KIO slaves such as smb or fish.krusader - Advanced KDE twin-panel file-manager
