low cost windows 7 for students £35
« on: November 14, 2009, 03:05:44 PM »
I have been looking for a site which will give me windows 7 professional and Microsoft office standard for a cheap price. I found a site that will offer them both for £35 each which is an amazing deal. You have to sign up first which means typing in the name of your school/collage and then you can buy software. It does not just stop at Microsoft software it offers a wide range including adobe programs.  This is the link to the site http://www.software4students.co.uk/.

James computer running Windows 7 has been running well until last week
His dad had been converting audio cassettes to cd.
Many hours of work.

His firewall and virus scanner was fully up to date.

I had a call from James so say all his folders started disappearing and
He hastily backed up his important files.
Then rebooted windows 7 failed to boot.

He booted the windows 7 upgrade and commenced reloading windows 7
After spending most of the morning Windows 7 seem to have loaded ok
And finally it came to the registration screen James entered the code only
To be told the windows 7 is an upgrade and the code is not valid.

C R A Z Y .

He had to search for his old windows XP cd.
Reload XP onto his hard disk and then install windows 7.

Eventually later in the day Windows 7 was installed.

He started doing his homework for school, tried saving his Office 2007
He could not save any files.
He gave up and finished his work on the family laptop.

He left the windows 7 connected to the internet and at long last late in the evening  package were installed automatically.
The write problem went away.
